This young woman felt her nose was too prominent from the profile and was not straight from the front. She also disliked the cleft in between the two cartilages that make up the tip of the nose. Rhinoplasty was under taken to set the nose back towards the face. The tip was reduced as was the length of the nostrlis. From the front view you can see the nose is staighter. From below the deviated septum is visible in the left nasal cavity in the before photo and has been staightened in the after. The nostrils however still have some asymmetry. When nostrils are not pefectly symmetrical to begin with they won't usually be exactly the same after surgery either. Usually however we can improve the symmetry as in this case. Fortunately uneven nostrils are mostly only seen from below so are not a major issue most of the time. One can see that the cleft in betwee the tip cartilages has been reduced after surgery. Some people find this cleft to be attractive and want to preserve it while others prefer to reduce it or eliminate it.
