Rhinoplasty Case
This young man came to Dr. Rival to find out more about revision rhinoplasty plastic surgery in Toronto. He had previously received rhinoplasty surgery from another doctor whose results did not meet his expectations. After his original procedure this man had an underdeveloped nasal bridge, and from the front his nose appeared off-center. For his revision rhinoplasty procedure this chose Dr. Rival on the basis of his evident skill and accessible manner. Dr. Rival takes the time to meet with all his patients personally and to answer all questions, no matter how small. In this patient’s consultation Dr. Rival listened to his goals and was able to give an honest and realistic idea of what to expect from the procedure and results.
As you can see in the picture to left, this patient’s original rhinoplasty surgeon had removed too much cartilage from the upper half of his nose. In order to correct this, Dr. Rival reconstructed the patient’s nasal bridge using a double layer of the patient’s own cartilage taken from the nose tip. Dr. Rival prefers to use the patient’s own cartilage rather than synthetic implants because he has found that the natural approach is generally safer and yields more attractive results.
After his procedure with Dr. Rival, one of the rhinoplasty surgeons in Toronto, this patient is enjoying a normal recovery and natural looking results. From the side view the bridge now appears straight and from the front his nose no longer appears deviated. Although the patient’s thick skin means that he still has a more rounded nose tip, the straighter line of his nasal bridge helps ensure that his final result is much more attractive and fits very well with the rest of his face.
