Rhinoplasty Case
This patient is shown four months after rhinoplasty performed to reduce the nasal bridge, smooth the nasal sidewalls, refine the tip, and improve nostril shape from the profile view. The goals of surgery were to create a softer, more balanced nasal contour while maintaining a natural appearance.
In this case, the bridge and the prominent sidewall fullness often referred to as “side bumps” were reduced to create a smoother nasal profile. The tip was carefully set back and refined, while the nostril length was shortened to reduce excessive nostril show from the side view.
Many patients are concerned about having a long nostril appearance or being able to see too much inside the nostril when viewed from the side. This concern was specifically addressed during surgery by improving tip position and nostril proportions, creating a more balanced profile.
At four months after surgery, the bridge appears smoother, the sidewall fullness has been reduced, and the tip is more refined. The nostrils are less prominent from the profile view, contributing to a softer and more harmonious facial appearance. Some residual swelling is still expected at this stage, particularly around the tip, and further refinement will continue over the coming months.
This case demonstrates how rhinoplasty can improve bridge contour, reduce sidewall prominence, refine tip position, and correct excessive nostril show while preserving natural facial harmony.
