Dermal fillers are often used to help smooth wrinkles and restore volume to certain areas of the face. It’s less common for patients considering rhinoplasty at my Toronto practice to ask about a non-surgical nose job. Soft tissue fillers can augment areas of the nose or refine irregularities in ways that are more subtle than surgical rhinoplasty.
Dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM®, RADIESSE®, and Restylane® are also options for revision rhinoplasty in cases where the surgically altered nose needs only minor changes. I perform all cosmetic injections at my practice, and that’s especially important for patients seeking non-surgical rhinoplasty. Using fillers to reshape the nose requires precise nasal analysis prior to the injections.
Although non-surgical rhinoplasty may be an attractive option, there are some things to keep in mind:
- Fillers aren’t permanent, and maintaining the altered appearance will require repeat treatments.
- Only surgery can reduce the size of a nose.
- A deviated septum or other reasons for functional rhinoplasty require surgery.
Although minimally invasive procedures are excellent options for many patients seeking a rejuvenated appearance, they may not be best in every case. To find out what options could work for you, contact us to set up a personal rhinoplasty consultation with me.
